At the August club night (an excellent evening folks, I particularly liked Lydia Faith!) someone came to the desk saying they were new to the area and were looking for “like minded musos” to get together with to jam and maybe form a fun band.  They had been told that the First Thursday Music Club was the place to look.  This is a great thing and got us thinking. So here it is a new page and function for the Club website - a Musician’s wanted notice board!  Send Jon an email at jon.littler@mac.com with your name, what you do/play, the sort of person/people you are looking for and what you are interested in (fun/gigs/writing together/recording etc.). It is also a good idea to put your influences/favourite artists as it is the best clue as to your preferred music style (Taylor Swift. Show of Hands or Anthrax?)  Put your contact details in the notice, We’ll put it on the site and people can contact you directly - the rest could be history or at the very least a lot of muso fun! - over to you!

I am a young rivvum guitarist with attitude living with my Aunt looking to form a band. Ideally we need a left handed bassist with a talent for melody and good harmonies. Residency in Hamburg club awaits. Current influences are The Sheik of Araby,Chuck Berry and Elvis but we can change all that! Want to write our own material. Teddy boys need not apply unless you’re a drummer with a big nose.
